Applebaum\, Senior Managing Associate\, Sidley Austin LLP\nBased in Washington\, DC\, Aaron is a lawyer in the International Trade practice at the law firm Sidley Austin LLP.  For nearly a decade\, Aaron has been advising companies and trade associations on international trade and customs law.  He advises clients on all substantive matters handled by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)\, including complex customs valuation matters\, free trade agreement qualification\, tariff classification\, country of origin\, and forced labor issues.  Aaron helps clients develop and implement effective compliance programs\, navigate customs audits\, and respond to government enforcement actions.  In recent years\, much of his practice has involved advising clients on issues relating to Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 (often referred to as the “Section 301 China tariffs”) and the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA). \nPrior to joining Sidley\, Aaron was an in-house lawyer at Logitech Inc. in Fremont\, CA\, where he advised the company on international trade compliance issues and was a proud member of WIT-NC. \n  \nGeorge Tuttle\, III\, Trade Attorney at Tuttle Law Offices\n30+ years experience advising clients and litigating issues relating to Customs and trade matters\, including: classification\, valuation\, country-of-origin\, special duty exemptions\, NAFTA\, drawback\, regulatory audits and compliance assessments\, penalties related to customs laws and compliance issues.
